Join a liveaboard trip and dive the world-famous Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock and more. We own and operate our unique liveaboard boat, the MV Andaman. She was designed by Sea Dragon and has been continually refurbished and expanded. We run 3-day or 4-day trips to Thailand’s top dive sites: the Similan Islands, Surin Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. You can also put two trips back-to-back to make a 7-day trip. Departing 8 times per month, we are sure you will find the perfect trip to suit your schedule and budget.

WHY TAKE A LIVEABOARD WITH SEA DRAGON DIVE CENTER?
- Sea Dragon Dive Center was the first dive center to open in Khao Lak, over 27 years ago. We were the first to run liveaboard trips to the Similan Islands and beyond. Although we are a PADI 5-Star IDC dive center, we are still small, friendly and welcoming. Others have tried to copy us but nobody else does it quite like us!
- Owning and operating our distinctive liveaboard boat, the MV Andaman, means we can do it our way. Trips depart eight times per month visiting the top dive sites in the region: the Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and the Surin Islands
- The MV Andaman has three decks, which include 3 different relaxing areas in addition to the sleeping, eating and diving areas. We have hammocks and bean bags and a barbecue on board

- Liveaboard divers get FREE hire of diving equipment, including a dive computer. If you have some or all of your own equipment, you will receive a 5-10% discount off our listed prices
- We dive in small groups: maximum 4 divers per group plus one Dive Guide
- Diving groups are made up of divers with similar abilities. Therefore your dive guide can adapt the dive plan and profile to best suit your requirements. And if you want to dive with your friend(s), we can arrange that too
- Many of our international dive staff return year after year so they know these dive sites like a second home
- We have six boat crew plus up to five dive staff onboard the MV Andaman. In other words, we can guarantee you’ll be well looked after. And definitely well fed!
- Between dives our dinghy will take you to the beautiful white sand beaches of both the Similan and Surin Islands
- Full safety equipment is always onboard the boat. Life jackets, a fully stocked first-aid kit, CB & marine radio, GPS, life rings. 100% demand-valve oxygen kits and emergency oxygen tanks, fire extinguishers, anti-slip mats. Plus emergency hammers next to all windows and emergency life rafts
- All rental diving equipment is high quality Scubapro and Aqualung brands, serviced annually
- We have a secure safe in our office where you can leave your valuables. We also have a luggage storage room so you can leave all your heavy bags behind
- At the end of your trip our taxi will collect you from the harbour and return you to our dive center to collect your belongings. After final goodbyes to your new friends, our taxi will transfer you to your hotel
